If you really knew me..
I use this blog as a way to let people see the real me, all my flaws the struggles I have, and whatever is on my mind. What is crazy to me is that a lot of people have resorted to using blogs to get their real feelings out instead of just being real with the people in their lives. I’m not saying that there is anything wrong with having a blog such as this one, I just don’t think it should be the only place where we show people the real us.
I have been hearing good things about a new show on MTV called “If You Really Knew Me” I decided to check it out. I think its awesome, its about time MTV does something worth while instead of the normal Jersey Shore or Real World crap they have on most the time. Its crazy to watch something like that and to sit back and reflect on your life and the comments you have made to people, and how you’ve treated others throughout your life.
The premise behind that show is such a simple concept and yet it is so powerful. Simply saying hey to someone can brighten their day, we have no idea what others are going through in their lives, so why as humans are we so quick to judge others and insist on being rude to people we don’t even know.
I’m the type of person that needs someone to hold me accountable for things, obviously I know God holds me accountable for all the decisions I make but It also helps to have friends around that will help keep you in check. I am tired of being the guy that will say anything for a laugh and not caring whether it hurts others, or not talking to people if I think they are weird or whatever reason I don’t talk to people. I wanna challenge myself to step out of my comfort zone. As they say on the MTV show I wanna be the change. So what im getting at is if anyone who reads this sees me doing something outta line I want you to say something to me. I also challenge you if you read this to do the same. Just image how much more of a pleasant place this world would be to live in if everyone treated others with the respect they deserve.
