1. “Life Change”

I hear people use the words “life change” all the time, Im all for people changing their lives and starting to live a different way but those words seem to always be associated with and up coming event or a certain day or something of that nature. I have said that on many occasions, especially when it comes to Summer Games, I used to always say oh ill change my life and start living for God again once Summer Games comes around, I just need something to set me on fire for God.

Living in the state of mind of needing some event or some person to set you on fire for God is misguided and wrong. You can’t rely on any person, or any event to set you on fire for God. Do they help, Yes I am not saying at all that certain people or events in your life can’t and shouldn’t help set you on fire for God. But you can’t rely on that, you have to rely on GOD to make the change in you or you are just going to fall away again and then go through the same cycle over and over.

This post is not intended to offend anyone or anything of that nature, Because I am guilty of doing this as well. Its ment to open your eyes up to see how destructive that can be to live in that cycle. If you aren’t living your life right and you die, God isn’t going to say its okay the event you were waiting for hasn’t happened yet, or that person hasn’t come back into your life yet. All im trying to say is we as christians need to stop using that excuse and give our lives up to God whether we are on fire for him or not. No one is always on fire for god, its like any relationship there are rough times. You just have to rely on GOD to help get you through those times.
